Atalaya Capital Management is a New York City–headquartered alternative investment advisory firm that specializes in asset-backed and credit investments. Founded in 2006 and SEC-registered, the firm operates as a privately held manager. As of June 30, 2024 Atalaya managed more than $10 billion of assets. The firm focuses on asset-based credit across consumer and commercial finance, corporate and real estate assets and deploys capital through pooled fund vehicles (e.g., Atalaya Special Opportunities funds) and direct asset-backed credit strategies, including rated securitizations. In May 2026 Atalaya closed a $141 million home-equity investment rated securitization with Point. Blue Owl Capital acquired Atalaya’s business in 2024 in a transaction valued at $450 million and integrated the team into its alternative credit platform. Atalaya’s combination of a concentrated asset-based credit focus, scale (>$10B AUM) and integration into a larger alternative-credit platform gives sponsors access to committed asset-backed credit capital and structured financing capabilities.
